Honda XL750 Transalp – First Look

While the Honda XL750 Transalp is newly minted for 2024, its roots trace back to the original Transalp launched in Europe in 1986. Those old enough to remember will recall that the original model was a trendsetter, marrying long-travel suspension and off-road dynamics with the comfort of a road bike, thanks to its then-revolutionary fairing. Over the years, it underwent several upgrades, culminating in a 680cc, fuel-injected version in 2008. Honda aims to fill a gap in its mid-range adventure segment with the reinvigorated XL750 Transalp, setting a new standard for modern adventure touring motorcycles.

Powering the 2024 model is a 755cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that offers robust power and torque across the rev range. The Throttle by Wire system fine-tunes the engine for touring and comfort, while the bike’s state-of-the-art tech suite includes five riding modes and a host of electronic rider aids. Regarding handling, the lightweight steel diamond frame and top-notch Showa suspension ensure you have the agility and confidence to tackle any riding condition.
