Stark’s VARG SM Sköll Is a 500-Unit, All-Black Electric Supermoto

Stark Future has unveiled the VARG SM Sköll, a numbered limited edition of 500 units built on the VARG SM platform, with every eligible component on the bike finished in black and claimed weight down to 123.4 kg, the lightest VARG SM built to date. Stark retains the core chassis architecture, structural battery pack, and carbon-fiber-sleeved motor that already define the standard VARG SM, rather than positioning the Sköll as an entirely new platform.

VARG SM Sköll’s Power and Weight Numbers

The Sköll runs Stark’s full ALPHA specification: 80 hp peak and 914 Nm (674 lb-ft) measured at the rear wheel, delivered through a single-speed direct drive with no gearbox and no clutch between motor and tire. Dynamic Traction Control is included across all ride modes and is fully tunable, along with power curves and regenerative braking, adjustable from the handlebar while riding.

The weight reduction comes entirely from titanium: 3D-printed titanium footpegs save 140 grams, and a complete titanium bolt kit saves another 900 grams, for a total 1.1 kg cut from the standard VARG SM’s 124.5 kg. Because the savings target controls and fasteners rather than unsprung or rotating mass, wheel control and damping response stay unchanged while overall vehicle inertia drops, making the front end noticeably easier to lift during quick transitions.

VARG SM Sköll’s Chassis and Electronics

Suspension runs KYB throughout: a 48mm closed-cartridge coil-spring fork with 290mm of travel up front, and a triple-adjuster rear shock delivering 303mm of travel.

Brembo brakes handle stopping duty, a 320mm front disc with a four-piston caliper and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper, with an optional handlebar-mounted rear brake available. As with every VARG, spring rates are matched to the rider’s weight at the point of order rather than shipped to a single fixed setting.

Power comes from a 7.2 kWh battery operating at 420V that also functions as a structural member of the chassis. Claimed range runs 183 km urban, 118 km suburban, and 81 km under WMTC testing. The Arkenstone display handles turn-by-turn navigation both on and off road, offline maps, GPX recording, and over-the-air updates, carried over from the standard VARG SM alongside Crawl Mode and layered digital security.

VARG SM Sköll Pricing and Availability

The Sköll is road-legal and A1-license compatible in Europe, matching the standard VARG SM’s homologation. Pricing lands at $14,990, with first deliveries beginning October 2026 and no second production run planned once the 500 units sell out, a scarcity Stark Future is building directly into the launch itself.

Electric supermotos have made real power numbers before, but 914 Nm at the rear wheel from a machine claiming 123.4 kg is a combination the combustion side of this class simply can’t answer with a bigger engine. That gap, not the black finish, is the actual story here.
