Moto Guzzi introduces its sporty 853 cc V9 Bobber Special Edition to the mid-size engine bobber class.
Moto Guzzi presents its sporty blacked out V9 Bobber Special Edition to the mid-size engine bobber class. Packing an 853 cc, 90-degree, transverse V twin engine with a classy two-tone colorway and blacked-out accents, the V9 Bobber Special Edition makes a promising first impression.
The Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber series, which includes the base in Nero Essenziale and the Centenario, takes its design notes from the American dirt track racing motorcycles, popular after World War II: clean, simple, classy, full of grunt and beefy tires.
Ergonomics on the 463 pounds (wet) V9 Bobber feature a seat height just shy of 31 inches, and a wheelbase of 57.68 inches. Suspension components consist of 40 mm standard front forks and dual adjustable preload spring rear shocks. Employed in the brake department are a front single 320 mm floating rotor mated to a Brembo four piston caliper and a rear 260 mm floating rotor paired with a Brembo two piston caliper.
The new Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Special Edition has a unique Workshop twin-tone black and grey paint job that accentuates the metal teardrop 3.9 gallon fuel tank, complete with a billet aluminum fuel cap, and continues onto the aluminum side panels. The bar-end mirrors, with fork seal guards and short front fender, single headlight, and rear brake light that also house the rear turn indicators, support the visual aesthetic.
The welds on the V9 Bobber’s frame and its paintwork are top-tier, as are the details on the matte black aluminum engine cases and badging. The styling continues as the dual exhaust features a matte black finish with aluminum accents.
The V9 Bobber Special Edition (MSRP and availability to be announced) embraces Moto Guzzi’s legendary sporty lineage with a stealthy, down-to-business yet refined and classy appeal.
Keeping it classy, Moto Guzzi. Keeping it classy.
