2010 Moto2 and 2017 MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Toni Elias returns to race action in the 2023 season with Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki.
Toni Elias returns to MotoAmerica for the 2023 season, after what seemed a short break from race action. This is not his first time making a return as in 2021, Elias handled substitute duty, earning two podium finishes for the season. Prior to that, he made his debut in MotoAmerica in 2016 and secured the Championship crown in 2017. From 2016 to 2020, Elias racked up 32 race wins and 60 podium finishes. Of course, this all follows his 2010 Moto2 championship title and multiple race wins across GP, 250cc, and 125cc classes.
Toni Elias took time off in 2022 to help others achieve their goals with his Toni Elias Performance Riding School. But now he’s back and ready for another shot at the title. This time, he’s joined the Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki team in the Supersport class, alongside teammate Teag Hobbs.
“I’m happy to have the opportunity to go back to racing and it is special to do it with Suzuki and a team I know in Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki. It’s great they gave me this opportunity and I am excited and motivated. I am ready to start working hard. It won’t be easy but let’s do it! I know the bike well and know the good things about it. We’ll work hard to improve it even more and I can’t wait to get started.” – Toni Elias.
