Ducati has announced the limited production run of the Superleggera V4. The Superleggera marks several firsts for a production model motorcycle. Limited to only 500 individually numbered units, worldwide, Ducati’s Superleggera V4 is the only street-legal motorcycle whose chassis, swingarm, wheels, fairings, and biplane aerofoils… all composed of carbon fiber.
Dressed in a Desmosedici GP19 inspired livery, Ducati’s Superleggera V4 is powered by the Desmosedici Stradale R 998cc 220hp engine. In harmony with all of that carbon, the remaining components are a proper combination of titanium, aluminum, and magnesium. Those elements result in a dry weight of 350.5 pounds. The Superleggera ships with a race kit that includes an Akrapovic titanium system. The race kit boosts engine performace to over 230hp.
For those individuals fortunate enough to purchase the Superleggera V4, Ducati has put together a handsome owner’s package that includes a track time on the factory Worldsbk Panigale V4 and an opportunity to ride the Desmosedici GP20.
Deliveries will begin in June of 2020, at the rate of 5 bikes per day.
