Reigning MotoAmerica Supersport champion Mathew Scholtz returns for his 10th season to pilot the Strack Racing Yamaha YZF-R9. 2024 was better than good enough for Scholtz with eight wins and 15 podium finishes. His confidence in the Strack Racing team and the performance capability of the new YZF-R9 sets a competitive tone for the upcoming races. “With Strack Racing, I have a proven team that is fully invested in myself and the R9,” Scholtz declared, signaling his solid partnership with the team. He believes they have what it takes to compete at the front of the field.
Joining Scholtz this season is rookie sensation Blake Davis, who has already made waves in the MotoAmerica paddock. At just 18 years old, Davis brings in a strong pedigree after clinching back-to-back MotoAmerica Twins Cup Championships and posting a remarkable rookie season in Supersport, finishing with a race win and a solid championship standing. Davis expresses his eagerness to embrace the challenges of the Supersport class on the new YZF-R9, emphasizing his ambition to win and make a mark in every race this season.
Under the leadership of Team Owner Peter Strack, the Strack Racing Yamaha MotoAmerica Supersport Team is ready to get to business when the 2025 MotoAmerica season opens at Barber Motorsports Park, April 4 through 6.
