Yamaha has officially confirmed Jorge Martín and Ai Ogura as its factory MotoGP team for 2027 and 2028 — a reigning World Champion and the rider who won his first MotoGP race at Assen, both signed for MotoGP’s new technical era.
Yamaha has officially confirmed that Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins will leave the factory MotoGP team at the end of 2026, closing an eight-year chapter for the 2021 world champion and clearing the way for Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura in 2027.
Yamaha will become the exclusive Moto3 supplier from 2028 to 2033, replacing KTM and Honda with a full-size CP2-based racing prototype. Announced at the Dutch GP in Assen on June 25, 2026.
All five MotoGP manufacturers — Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM, and Yamaha — have signed a single 2027–2031 framework agreement, the first time in the championship’s history that every manufacturer has signed one collective deal simultaneously.
