The Ryvid Outset, the latest addition to the lineup of the California-based company, debuts with a strikingly accessible price of $5,995. This release follows the reduction of the Ryvid Anthem to only $6,495. As a scrambler-style electric motorcycle, the Ryvid Outset is designed to be an ideal commuter and more, offering more significant suspension travel to handle challenging terrains and a longer, narrower motocross-style seat. Equipped with multi-role Dunlop Mutant tires, the Outset shares many features with the Anthem, including a rigid folded steel backbone frame, an instrument display, a removable 4.3kWh battery with an integrated charger, a 72V air-cooled brushless DC motor, a controller, and a sealed belt drive.
The Ryvid Outset boasts an impressive range of up to 70 miles and a top speed of over 75mph. It has a 33-inch seat height, providing a compliant suspension and narrow cushion. Setting itself apart from the Anthem, the Outset features a distinct headlight design, mirrors, a wider handlebar, a unique seat unit, and different suspension components. The more upright riding position also led to repositioning the footpegs forward and adding a longer kickstand.
Weighing just 315 pounds, the Outset shares the Anthem’s lightweight architecture and low center of gravity. With significant components positioned at axle level, the Outset and Anthem exhibit extraordinary handling characteristics, making them extremely easy to maneuver at high speeds and tight spaces. One of the advantages of electric power is the Ryvid Reverse Gear. When activated, the rider can move the motorcycle backward at walking speed by simply pushing a button.
As an additional incentive for first-time customers, the Outset will be offered with a free Power Controller Upgrade by ASI while supplies last. This same ASI controller will be available as an $800 upgrade for all Anthem and Outset owners and can be retrofitted to existing Anthem motorcycles.
The Anthem, originally priced at $8,995, is now priced at $6,495. Thanks to its shared components, existing owners of the Anthem will be able to purchase the parts necessary to convert their motorcycle into the new Outset model at a fraction of the price of the complete machine. The conversion parts will be available from the Interactive 3D Parts Catalog at ryvid.com, which currently lists every part of the Anthem for service or repair and will soon be joined by Outset-specific parts.
Riders can visit ryvid.com to order the new Outset in two color options: Sector Red and Vapor Grey. The $6,495 Anthem is available in six colors.
