The new Royal Enfield Vintage Rides partnership is bringing guided motorcycle touring to the US for the first time, launching in South Dakota’s Black Hills timed to land right alongside the 2026 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. It’s the first time the two companies’ long-running global travel partnership — already active across the Himalayas, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia — has extended into North America. More details, including booking, are available at vintagerides.com/usa.
How the Royal Enfield Vintage Rides Partnership Works in the Black Hills
Vintage Rides’ North American fleet is based in the Black Hills, stocked with travel-prepared Royal Enfields available for rental. Riders can use the base to explore the surrounding landscape before heading into Sturgis itself, running August 7-16 this year, blending scenic riding with the rally’s own culture on their own schedule.
Two self-guided routes, Best of the Black Hills and Black Hills Blast, depart August 17, right after Sturgis wraps — curated routes with accommodations arranged, but no fixed group or tour leader required. Royal Enfield’s Head of Marketing for the Americas, Nathan Kolbe, said the setup lets riders “maximize riding enjoyment through the dynamic landscapes of North America, while letting the Royal Enfield Vintage Rides team take care of the routes and accommodation.”

Royal Enfield Vintage Rides Brings Its Global Playbook to the US
Vintage Rides has built its reputation on route planning and logistics for motorcycle travel across multiple continents, and the North American launch marks a genuine expansion of an existing relationship rather than a brand-new partnership. Founder Alexandre Zurcher called it “a significant moment,” noting the launch “exemplifies the amount of dedicated miles, travel, and experiences our specialist team have put into motorcycle adventure.”
Both fully-guided tours, led by experienced tour leaders, and self-guided options are planned going forward, with future routes expected across additional US riding destinations beyond the Black Hills.
The Royal Enfield Vintage Rides Offers More
The timing lines up with Royal Enfield’s 125th anniversary year, and it’s the latest sign of the brand treating North America as a genuine growth market rather than a secondary one — following its first US flagship dealership opening with Baxter Cycle in Iowa earlier this year.
A touring program is a different kind of investment than a dealership, though: it’s a bet that riders who might never buy a Royal Enfield outright will rent one for a week in the Black Hills and come away wanting one.
Landing the launch during Sturgis week, in a region already anchored by Harley-Davidson’s own Black Hills presence, puts Royal Enfield directly in front of exactly the riders it needs to win over if this expansion is going to grow past a single South Dakota base.
