Nicky Hayden plus eight other Legends from the world of motorsports are inducted into the 2021 Motorsports Hall of Fame at a virtual ceremony.
The late Kentucky Legend, Nicky Hayden is inducted formally as a member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame. Forever the “People’s Champion”, Hayden became a household name before his career in road racing. Nicky Hayden was the recipient of the inaugural American Motorcyclists Association Horizon Award in 1997 for his flat track racing accomplishments. Since his passing, the Horizon Award has been renamed the Nicky Hayden AMA Road Race Horizon Award, in his honor.

Hayden went on to earn the AMA Athlete of the Year after capturing the AMA Supersport title and his first Grand National win. The accolades continued as Hayden would win the 2020 Daytona 200, as well as the AMA Superbike Championship, the youngest winner at the time. Perhaps one of his greatest achievements was winning the 2006 MotoGP Championship.

Nicky Hayden was one of nine 2021 class members inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame unveiled in an on-line press conference at Daytona International Speedway.
