R&G has launched the all-new R&G Rain Light, a compact LED unit built to maximize rear visibility in wet and low-light track conditions, and it’s already been named the Official Rain Light of the British Superbike Championship. The designation means it’s recommended for use across every class in the series.
For a series that runs deep into the UK racing calendar, where weather can turn without much warning, that kind of endorsement carries more than marketing weight.
How the R&G Rain Light Works
The R&G Rain Light uses a six-LED design to throw a bright, attention-grabbing red light off the back of the bike, built specifically to cut through wet weather and fading light on track. Its compact, unobtrusive footprint and universal fitment mean it integrates cleanly across a wide range of motorcycles rather than requiring model-specific mounting solutions.
That universal approach matters for a product aimed at track-day riders and racers alike, who often swap between multiple bikes across a single season and don’t want to source a new mounting solution every time.
Track use brings its own demands, and R&G built the unit with a robust, fully weatherproof housing to protect it from the elements during long-term use. That durability matters for a product whose entire purpose is performing reliably in exactly the conditions that damage less protected electronics.
A rain light that fails in the rain defeats its own purpose entirely, and R&G’s emphasis on weatherproofing reads as a direct response to that risk rather than a standard spec-sheet checkbox.
The R&G Rain Light’s BSB Debut
The Rain Light made its debut at Cadwell Park over the weekend for Round 8 of the 2026 British Superbike Championship, arriving with the Official Rain Light designation already attached rather than earning it after a season of use.
Jack Taylor, General Manager at R&G, tied the launch directly to the unpredictability of British race weekends. “Track conditions can change quickly when the rain arrives,” Taylor said, framing the product as a simple, reliable answer to that reality.
The Rain Light retails for £37.49 excluding VAT and is available now directly from R&G. Riders and teams attending any of the remaining 2026 BSB meetings can also pick one up in person at the R&G Technical Centre, which sits in the heart of the paddock at every round.
That in-person availability matters for a product built around an immediate need, since a rider caught out by sudden rain at a race weekend benefits far more from a paddock purchase than a shipping window.
The launch continues a pattern for the Hampshire-based brand, which has spent the past two years building out its presence across major racing series, from becoming MotoAmerica’s Official Protection Partner to earning recognition through the FIM Quality Product Programme.
An Official designation from a series as established as BSB carries real weight in the paddock, but whether it moves the needle for riders shopping outside of race weekends is the more interesting question, one R&G’s broader strategy across multiple series is clearly betting will pay off over time.
