Motorsport Exotica is bringing on real creative leadership and announcing its first showcase event in the same breath. Former AFM road racing champion Michael Aron joins as Creative Director, and the shop is hosting “A Night of Machinery & Indulgence” on Saturday, July 18, 2026, 7–11 pm, at 2529 N Ontario St in Burbank, California.
From a Single-Car Garage to an 11,000-Square-Foot Facility
Motorsport Exotica’s story starts over a decade ago on top of a washing machine in a single-car garage. Founder Jarred Fixler, frustrated after a string of bad experiences at LA-area “performance” shops — piecemeal parts on a Ducati, a BMW missing hardware, an oil change that took down a cylinder on his R6 — decided the only way to get a bike built to his standards was to do it himself. What started in a Monterey Park garage — 30-plus motorcycles spilling onto the sidewalk, three loose motors, a fourth sitting on the washing machine — ran for about six months before LA County caught wind and served him a cease and desist. That was the push to make it official.

Motorsport Exotica now operates out of an 11,000-square-foot facility in Burbank — one of the few shops in Southern California running a Dynojet 250i Eddy Brake dynamometer alongside a dedicated K-Tech and Öhlins-certified suspension center and a full in-house engine-building room. Every build happens under one roof, from teardown to final dyno pull, backed by a parts wall stocked with Brembo, Termignoni, Akrapovič, Marchesini, Yoshimura, and dozens of other podium-proven brands. Over a decade in, Motorsport Exotica has built and serviced more than 5,000 bikes.
A Former AFM Champion Leads Motorsport Exotica’s Next Chapter
Aron’s hire carries real credibility for a shop built on bespoke engineering: he’s a former AFM (American Federation of Motorcyclists) road racing champion who previously ran marketing for Mojotown, meaning he understands the paddock from both sides — as a competitor and as a brand builder. Founder Jarred Fixler put it plainly: “I asked around the paddock about who really knew this world from the marketing side. The same name kept coming back: Michael from Mojotown.” Aron is spearheading the creative direction behind Motorsport Exotica’s newly relaunched site — which includes a bespoke gallery showcasing some of the shop’s most exclusive builds — and the July 18 event itself.

A Night of Machinery & Indulgence: What to Expect
Bespoke motorcycles on display, fine dining, hand-rolled cigars, and DJs — the event is billed as a room curated specifically for collectors, builders, and connoisseurs. Motorsport Exotica hosts, with Merrill | The Hill Country Group, a Bank of America company, as title sponsor, alongside Counter Culture, cigars by Nobleza, and legal partner Margarian Lemon Law Firm. RSVP details are at machinesandindulgence.rsvpify.com.
A shop this focused on precision engineering, bringing in someone who actually raced the machines he’s now marketing, says something about where Motorsport Exotica is headed — and July 18 is the first real chance to see what that direction looks like in person. Worth the ride to Burbank.
