Moto Guzzi The Trip is a 500 roadster, and it opens a new generation for the Mandello del Lario brand. It weighs 180 kg (396.8 lb) in running order, the seat starts at 790mm (31 in), and a parallel-twin engine makes almost 48 hp. Moto Guzzi will unveil it at EICMA in Milan, Hall 9, from November 5 to 8, and dealers will have it in early 2027.
The brand’s pitch is a motorcycle for the way people ride now: tight city traffic, limited free time and a taste for short escapes. Moto Guzzi puts it plainly: “true luxury isn’t about more horsepower. It’s about more time.” The Trip is built around that idea, with a light frame, a low seat and controls that feel simple from the first ride.
The 180 kg running-order weight and the 790mm seat height make the bike easy to move around in a parking lot or a traffic jam. The riding position is natural, and the bike is meant for riders new to the Guzzi world as well as longtime fans. Moto Guzzi also names riders coming back after years away as an audience.
The modern parallel-twin makes almost 48 hp, with most of its torque available at low revs. That gives smooth response in the city and more energy once the road opens up. A ride-by-wire throttle and three riding modes tune the bike: Road for everyday smoothness, Sport for a livelier response, and Rain for the toughest conditions.
Moto Guzzi frames the day around small detours. The bike is meant to make the trip home more interesting, with a stop at a tucked-away bar, a new neighborhood or a road you have never ridden. It also suits a spur-of-the-moment escape out of town, to the sea at dawn or a hilltop at sunset, for anyone who loves to travel even if only in their head.
Design and Technology on Moto Guzzi The Trip
The Trip introduces what Moto Guzzi calls a new design language, pared back and contemporary. The proportions are balanced, the surfaces are clean, and the twin-cylinder engine appears in a deep, minimal black finish. A 15-liter (3.96 gal) metal fuel tank sits at the center, and the model name is embroidered on the seat.
A full-LED headlight gives the Guzzi eagle a modern twist. The round 3.6-inch TFT display connects to a smartphone and shows information at a glance, and the backlit handlebar switchgear keeps the controls easy to read at night. Integrated pictogram navigation and a quick shifter are available as accessories, and both are meant to make the ride simpler.
The display and switchgear follow the same plan as the rest of the bike. Moto Guzzi describes the package as technology from motorcycles of the class above, and the aim is a bike that stays out of the way. The rider’s attention stays on the road.

Liveries and Opening Edition for Moto Guzzi The Trip
Moto Guzzi The Trip comes in three liveries. Black Metropolis is the contemporary elegance of the city. Green Grove marks where Moto Guzzi tradition meets nature. Red Beat carries the energy of the eagle at its most dynamic and sporty. Together they are three ways to live Moto Guzzi The Trip.
To mark the start of the new generation, Moto Guzzi is also building The Opening special edition for riders who want to be part of it from the first day. Moto Guzzi The Trip takes center stage on the brand’s stand at EICMA, held at Rho Fiera in Milan.
Moto Guzzi has built its name on a long line of V-twins, including the 2025 V7 range and the V100 Mandello S. The Trip starts a different chapter: a mid-capacity bike for the commute and the weekend.
