Indian Motorcycle adds two new models to its Scout range – The Rogue and the Rogue Sixty.
The Indian Scout has held my attention for several seasons now. It has always been a joy to ride. Quick, stable, plenty of attitude and style, the Scout would make a great selection for the beginner rider as well as the seasoned vet. And now with the addition of the Indian Scout Rogue and Scout Rogue Sixty, things have just gotten a little more badass over at Indian Motorcycle.
The Indian Scout Rogue Sixty, with a starting MSRP of $9,999, welcomes newer riders to the fold with 999 ccs and 78 foot-pounds of torque. It will be available in three colors: Black Metallic, Titanium Smoke and Bronze Smoke.
For those with a little more seat time under their belts, the $11,499 Scout Rogue has more to offer. The Rogue’s V-Twin 1133 cc engine has a performance output of 100 horses, backed by 72 foot-pounds of torque (at 6,000 rpm). Color options include Black Metallic, Storm Blue, Sagebrush Smoke, Black Smoke, Black Smoke Midnight and Stealth Gray.
Both the Scout Rogue Sixty and the Rogue Scout give off a proper dose of “edge” with their new design elements: murdered-out fenders and valve covers, mini ape hanger handlebars, quarter front fairings and 19-inch front wheels. Suspension components (41 mm telescopic front forks with 4.7 inches plus dual adjustable rear shocks, with 2 inches travel), for both bikes are identical. And the same goes for the braking setup (298 mm single floating front rotor with 2-piston calipers and a single 298 mm floating rear rotor with a single-piston caliper).
Starting at $11,499, the Indian Scout Rogue delivers 100 horsepower by way of a liquid-cooled, 69 cubic-inch (1133cc) motor. The Scout Rogue is available in Black Metallic, Storm Blue, Sagebrush Smoke, Black Smoke, Black Smoke Midnight and Stealth Gray.
The Indian Scout Rogue Sixty starts at $9,999 and features a 60 cubic-inch (999 cc), liquid-cooled motor with 78 horsepower. The Scout Rogue Sixty is available in Black Metallic, Titanium Smoke and Bronze Smoke.
“For so many motorcyclists, riding carries a rogue spirit – a bold statement of freedom and individuality that brings riders together – and Scout Rogue delivers that in spades. It’s an attitude that can only be found on a motorcycle, and it creates a totally unique level of camaraderie and community, and that’s what Scout Rogue is all about.” – Aaron Jax, Indian Motorcycle Vice President.
