American Honda is bringing Honda E-Clutch Technology ashore for the U.S. market with the 2024 CB650R and CBR650R models. This technology, previously only available in Europe, offers enhanced ease, sportiness, and reduced fatigue for riders. E-Clutch Technology eliminates the need to pull in a clutch lever during starts, gear changes, and stops, thus simplifying the riding experience. The incorporation of E-Clutch Technology in Honda’s middleweight standard and sport bikes caters to riders of of all skill levels.

Colin Miller, Manager of Public Relations at American Honda, highlighted Honda’s commitment to innovation in motorcycle clutch and transmission technology, emphasizing how E-Clutch will set new standards for riding enjoyment and accessibility, “Honda has long been a pioneer in innovative motorcycle clutch and transmission technology. By eliminating the need to pull in a clutch lever during starts, gear changes, and stops, E-Clutch simplifies riding and makes it more enjoyable for beginners and experts alike.”

The CB650R model boasts an updated Neo-Sports Café look and nine Honda Accessories, while the CBR650R model comes in Grand Prix Red color, alongside nine Honda Accessories. With an MSRP of $9,399 and $9,899, respectively, these models bring advanced technology and high-performance capabilities within reach of a wide range of riders.

Honda’s integration of E-Clutch Technology is a progressive step forward in advancing motorcycle technology and delivering new riding experiences. The 2024 CB650R and CBR650R are expected to land in dealerships in September.
