Attention all Busa owners, lovers and fans! Suzuki plans to celebrate the Hayabusa 25th Anniversary at this year’s Motorcycle Live, November 16 through 24, at Birmingham’s NEC in Marston Green, England. Suzuki will feature a special display area showcasing the evolution of the Hayabusa over the last quarter century. Suzuki invites longtime enthusiasts and new fans to join the celebrations by submitting photos of your Busa for a giant feature wall that will be a centerpiece of the booth.
The Hayabusa, launched in 1999, will be represented by all three generations of its production models. Gen 1 was launched in 1999. Gen 2 made its debut in 2008. The current model, Gen 3 Suzuki Hayabusa, was released in 2021. Suzuki will display all three editions of the Busa at the show.
Suzuki will also celebrate the culture of customization and drag racing that has become interchangeable with the Hayabusa, with an additional display featuring one-off versions and competition-level Busas.
In its 25 years, the Suzuki Hayabusa has also influenced the four-wheel segment. Radical Sportscars, a UK-based company, has utilized the Hayabusa engine extensively, fitting a single Hayabusa powerplant into its Radical SR3 sportscar. Radical has gone so far as to combine two Busa engines to create the SR8.
So, how can you participate? Suzuki is calling on Hayabusa owners to become part of the anniversary festivities by submitting photos of their bikes to be part of a graphic wall, forming a mosaic that celebrates the global Hayabusa community. Owners can upload their images HERE. For more information on Motorcycle Live, including tickets and event details, visit the official website HERE.
Happy 25th anniversary, Hayabusa. Go, Busa! It’s ya’ birthday!
