BMW announces a selection of changes for the 2022 S 1000 RR.
The German manufacturer has released info on its 2022 model of the BMW S 1000 RR. Engine specs and general technical data remain the same. However, they have made a few updates in terms of pricing packages and color options.
The 2022 model of the S 1000 RR maintains its inline 4 cylinder, 4 stroke, 999cc engine with titanium valves (four per cylinder) and the other specs of the 2021 model, as well as the base price of $16,995.
The standard color of Black Storm Metallic stays but Mineral Gray Metallic Style Passion replaces the Hockenheim colorway for an up price of $375.00.
The 2021 model featured upgrade kits that included: Dynamic, Race, and Select Packages. They have all been removed for the 2022 S 1000 RR and replaced with a Premium package for an up price of $2,825.00. The Premium package includes an endurance chain, sports muffler, Dynamic Damping Control, Ride Modes Pro, USB socket, heated handgrips, cruise control, and a TPM (tire pressure monitor) system.
The M Package remains for the 2022 model year but has been upgraded. For an additional $2,250.00, you receive your 2022 BMW S 1000 RR in Light White/Racing Blue/Racing Red colors, new blue M brake calipers, a new black fuel filler cap, new M GPS lap trigger software, and an M sport seat. Also included in the M Package: a lightweight battery, and new forged wheels.
The 2022 S 1000 RR is expected to arrive in authorized dealerships in the fall of 2021.
