With the RSV4 X EX3MA debut, Aprilia claims to have produced its most advanced and high-performance RSV4. For the first time, a motorcycle available to the public is equipped with Aprilia’s patented ground-effect aerodynamics. The specific shape of the molded fairing on the flanks exploits air pressure between the ground and the bike during cornering, increasing grip and enhancing stability. This sophisticated aerodynamic package includes a newly designed front wing, an under-wing beneath the swingarm (commonly known as the “spoon”), and cornering wings on the lower part of the front mudguard. Crafted entirely of carbon fiber by PAN Compositi using MotoGP techniques, the fairing adds to the bike’s aggressive aesthetics and improves performance.

The Aprilia RSV4 X EX3MA is powered by the noted 65° V4 engine, with an output of 1,099 ccs delivering an output of 230 horsepower at 13,500 rpm, and 131 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm thanks to a higher compression ratio, a Sprint Filter air filter, and an SC Project exhaust system with titanium headers and twin tailpipes.

Electronics include Aprilia Racing’s APX ECU, which manages all active electronic controls and incorporates an integrated data acquisition system with specific sensors essential for fine-tuning vehicle dynamics, allowing for dialed-in wheelie control, power delivery, traction control, and engine braking for each gear. Adjustments can be made on the fly using the dedicated push-button panel or during setup via editable interface software on the provided Yashi laptop, which enhances the APX system’s capabilities.

The bike’s chassis features the multi-titled twin-spar aluminum frame and employs Öhlins mechanical suspension with a custom setup, including a sophisticated pressurized fork. The Brembo braking system, equipped with a 19×16 radial pump at the front end, GP4 MS billet calipers with Z04 racing pads, and 330 mm T Drive brake discs, provides stopping power. Carbon fiber rims reduce weight and unsprung mass and roll on Pirelli SC1 (front, 125/70) and SCX (rear, 200/65) slick tires.

The RSV4 X EX3MA has a bevy of detailed premium components such as the carbon fiber mudguards, racing handlebar switch by Jetprime, adjustable footpegs, clutch lever, steering plate (engraved with the model’s serial number), tank cap, engine casing, and front brake lever guards are all crafted from billet aluminum. The oversized water and oil coolers are race-spec’d by Taleo Tecnoracing. The final drive features a titanium crown, a lightened sprocket by PBR, and an RK racing chain.

The Perla Nera livery pays homage to Max Biaggi’s Aprilia RS 250, on which he won three consecutive world championships from 1994 to 1996 in the 250cc class.
