The 2024 Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing team is prepped for an ambitious start at the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship season opener at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia. The team eyes its fifth consecutive championship with a solid lineup featuring returning stars Jake Gagne and Cameron Petersen. This year’s campaign is supported by a strong partnership with Attack Performance, which has been extended for another three seasons.
In just four seasons, the partnership between Yamaha and Attack Performance has celebrated four titles and amassed 59 victories in MotoAmerica’s superbikes class, showcasing the prowess and potential of the Yamaha R1.
Jake Gagne, returning for his fifth season with the team, is the reigning three-time MotoAmerica Superbike Champion. His goal for 2024 is clear—defend his title and continue his exceptional run. With 40 race victories under his belt, he stands fourth on the all-time AMA Superbike win list, a testament to his skill and the team’s capability.
Joining Gagne is Cameron Petersen, who is gearing up for his third season with Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing. After a challenging year due to a wrist injury that required surgical intervention last summer, Petersen is back at full fitness and eager to return to the podium. The 2020 MotoAmerica Stock 1000 Champion has previously demonstrated his prowess with multiple wins and podium finishes and is a valuable asset in Yamaha’s quest for continued dominance.
As the Yamaha 2024 Superbike Team launches into the new season, the combination of proven technical excellence, strategic partnerships, and skilled riders promises another thrilling chapter in Yamaha’s storied racing legacy.
