Triumph’s New Speed Twin 1200 TFC Is the Fifth Chapter in Its Factory Custom Story

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is the fifth model to wear the Factory Custom badge — limited to 750 units worldwide, with Öhlins suspension, Brembo Stylema brakes, and carbon fiber bodywork, starting at $21,995.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is only the fifth motorcycle ever to carry the Triumph Factory Custom badge — following the Thruxton TFC, the Rocket 3 TFC, and two editions of the Bobber TFC since the program launched in 2019. Limited to 750 units worldwide, with 180 allocated to the U.S. and 30 to Canada, the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC takes the Speed Twin 1200 RS platform and elevates it with a genuine performance package, not just cosmetic trim.

750 Units, Öhlins Suspension, and Brembo Stylema Brakes

Every Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is individually numbered, laser-etched alongside the TFC emblem on the billet aluminum top yoke, and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity — genuine collector-grade scarcity rather than a routine special edition. The 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel twin runs the Bonneville family’s signature 270-degree firing order, producing 103.5 bhp (105 PS) at 7,750 rpm and 83 ft-lb (112 Nm) of torque from just 4,250 rpm — that low-rpm torque figure is what actually defines the riding character here, not the peak number. A 6-speed gearbox runs Triumph Shift Assist for clutchless up and down shifts, with Sport, Road, and Rain ride modes.

The real differentiator from the standard RS is underneath: fully adjustable Öhlins suspension front and rear — 43mm USD forks with 120mm of travel up front, twin RSUs with external reservoirs and 123mm of travel at the rear, both adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound, finished in black with gold anodized fork lowers. Braking comes from Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial calipers paired with a Brembo MCS radial master cylinder and an adjustable lever, biting dual 320mm floating front discs. Lightweight 7-spoke cast aluminum wheels wear Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tires — a genuinely track-capable choice, not a touring-oriented compromise. Wet weight comes in at 478 lbs (214 kg).

Obsidian Gold: The TFC’s Signature Finish

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC’s visual signature is its Obsidian Gold paint — a metallic black base with gold metal flakes that shift subtly in changing light. Gloss-lacquered carbon fiber bodywork covers the mudguards, side panels with TFC branding, and heel guards, paired with a gold chain finish and gold anodized fork lowers and suspension adjusters.

Everything else goes dark: blacked-out fork legs, rear sprocket, control plates, and engine covers, matched by black Akrapovič titanium silencers with carbon fiber end caps. The one-piece bench seat is finished in black leather and high-grip sports suede with hand-stitched rib detailing, while low-set clip-on handlebars, a billet aluminum top yoke, and rear-set footpegs create what Triumph calls an assertive riding position. Each bike ships with a branded indoor cover and waterproof seat cover — the kind of detail that signals this is packaged as a collectible, not just sold as one.

“A Triumph Factory Custom is our opportunity to create something special,” said Nick Bell, Chief Marketing Officer at Triumph Motorcycles. “The new Speed Twin 1200 TFC takes the most performance-focused motorcycle in our Modern Classics range and elevates it with an exceptional level of detail, performance, and exclusivity.”

Following the recent Triumph 2026 Unleashed Dealer Tour, the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is available to order now at $21,995 USD ($24,995 CAD), with dealership arrivals beginning October 2026. With only 180 units earmarked for the U.S. market, this is one that’s likely to move fast once dealers get allocation — the fifth chapter in a program that’s built its reputation on staying genuinely scarce.
