MV Agusta’s latest limited edition offering, the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, is a testament to the Italian manufacturer’s commitment to blending heritage with cutting-edge technology. With only 500 units produced, this motorcycle exemplifies exclusivity and performance in equal measure.
The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro is inspired by MV Agusta’s successful racing history. It’s made using carbon fiber in two processes, forged and laminated, for 41 carbon fiber components, including the dashboard support, chain guard, full fairing, and parts in the dedicated kit. The unique wheels, fitted with dedicated Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tires, and the 4-exit titanium exhaust draw influence from the legendary MV Agusta F4 750 Serie Oro. Premium materials like leather and Alcantara are used for comfort and style, and the bike pays homage to MV Agusta’s history with its Ago Silver, Pearl Shock Red, and Gold Ciclistica colors.
The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro features a powerful four-cylinder inline engine that delivers 208 horsepower at 13,000 RPM and 116.5 Nm of torque at 11,000 RPM. With advanced components such as radial titanium valves and forged titanium connecting rods, the engine can reach 14,000 RPM with minimal vibration, providing a smooth and exhilarating riding experience. The integrated MVICS 2.1 system handles the engine management with eight injectors (four lower and four uppers) and a 50 mm diameter throttle body.
The MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro comes with a high-performance braking system from Brembo. It features 320mm front discs with aluminum flanges, radial Stylema calipers, and a Brembo master cylinder. The rear has a 220mm disc with a Brembo 2-piston caliper. It’s fitted with an ABS that features two levels of intervention: Sport mode with active cornering function and Rear wheel Lift-up Mitigation, and Race mode with less invasive ABS intervention and deactivated cornering function.
The electronic suspension system consists of Öhlins upside-down forks with a 43mm diameter and 120mm travel at the front. The suspension is electronically adjustable for compression, rebound, and manual spring preload adjustment. The package also includes an electronically adjustable Öhlins steering damper for stability and a rear Öhlins mono-shock with a 36mm diameter and 120mm travel, electronically adjustable for preload, rebound, and compression.
The bike has eight levels of traction control, split between wet/slippery conditions, road use, and the track. The Front Lift Control (FLC) optimizes wheelies by maintaining an ideal angle for acceleration using data from the inertial platform, working together with the Launch Control. There are four Riding Modes: three preset (Rain, Sport, Race) and one customizable by the rider (Custom). In Custom mode, the rider can adjust parameters like throttle sensitivity, engine torque, engine braking, engine response, limiter, and electronic suspension settings. The MV EAS 4.0 (Electronically Assisted Shift Up&Down) electronic gearbox manages both upshifting and downshifting, even with an open throttle. The Ride by Wire system lets you disengage Cruise Control using a negative stroke or rolling forward on the throttle.
The Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro has a built-in GPS that connects to the MV Ride app. Through the app, you can enter destinations, get navigation on the 5.5” TFT color dashboard, and use the Trip Record function to track route, speed, gear, lean angle, altitude, and travel times. You can also share routes and customize the bike’s response using the Custom map. The bike also has a satellite alarm featuring the Mobisat module, which riders can manage via the Greenbox app. The service is free for the first year.
Enthusiasts fortunate enough to own one of these sought-after motorcycles will receive an exclusive kit, underscoring MV Agusta’s renowned exclusivity and attention to detail. The kit includes a passenger seat in leather and Alcantara, passenger footpegs and supports, carbon passenger heel guards, CNC-machined brake and clutch levers, and height adjustment plates for the swingarm pin.
MV Agusta continues to showcase its prowess in combining engineering, heritage, and motorcycles as functioning art. The limited edition MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro encapsulates the pinnacle of craftsmanship, performance, and exclusivity. Pre-orders are open to brand collectors. Whatever units remain, if any, will be available through MV dealers.
