FTR R Carbon Headlines the Indian Motorcycle 2022 FTR Model Lineup

Indian Motorcycle makes improvements to their successful V-Twin FTR motorcycle. The 2022 FTR, FTR S, and FTR R Carbon are ready for the streets.

The 2022 model lineup of Indian Motorcycle’s class defining FTR machine has received a list of notable enhancements. As well, the lineup introduces the all-new FTR R Carbon. The lineup also includes the base FTR and the FTR S.

All of the 2022 FTR models are upgraded with refined engines. Street tuned suspension (offering 120mm of travel). And a seat height lowered by 1.4 inches. The 2022 FTRs now roll on 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels that are equipped with Metzler Sportec Tires.

The base FTR features an analog gauge and is available in Black Smoke with red accents throughout. Including red pinstripes on the wheels. Red Indian Motorcycle script branding across the tank, and a red rear shock spring. MSRP: $12,999.

The FTR S is available with two paint options, Maroon Metallic and White Smoke. The S model includes Indian Motorcycle’s 4.3-inch touchscreen display with phone integration via Bluetooth or USB and configurable gauges. The FTR S is equipped with an Akrapovic exhaust. It hosts three ride modes, wheelie control with rear lift mitigation, stability control, traction control, and cornering ABS. Additionally, a fast-charging USB port provides a convenient means of staying charged. MSRP: $14,999.

The FTR R Carbon carries over the components from the FTR S. However, that’s where the similarities end. The FTR R Carbon is a visually stunning piece of rolling motorcycle art with its carbon fiber tank covers, front fender, and headlight nacelle. Noteworthy is the premium seat cover and numbered badging on the console.

Sporting fully adjustable Öhlins gold front forks and gold piggyback shocks and a black Akrapovic exhaust, the Indian Motorcycle R Carbon is the star of the 2022 lineup. MSRP: $16,999.
