The 2024 WorldSBK calendar has been updated. The Hungarian Round has been canceled, and round 11 of the WorldSBK season will be held at the Circuito Estoril in Portugal from October 11th through the 13th. This Portuguese venue will feature WorldSBK, WorldSSP, WorldWCR, and the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European SuperFinale.

The change was made due to incomplete construction work at the Hungarian venue, Balaton Park, initially scheduled for August 23rd through 25th. This means that Estoril will occur a week before the season finale at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto.

Estoril WorldSBK Round Replaces Hungary

In 2022, Estoril hosted exciting races with intense battles between Jonathan Rea, Alvaro Bautista, and Toprak Razgatlioglu. Dominique Aegerter secured double victories in the WorldSSP class, while in the WorldSSP300, Samuel Di Sora made a dramatic comeback, racing from 31st on the grid to victory. Also notable, the Estoril round was where Jonathan Rea clinched his sixth WorldSBK title in 2020.
