Setting new off-road standards, the Ducati DesertX Rally is a bike built for adventurous souls and off-road exhilaration.

Ducati unveils its latest gem for the AVD rider – the DesertX Rally. Ducati’s innovation is evident in the DesertX Rally’s design and engineering. Drawing inspiration from the original DesertX, which boasts a 21-inch front rim and 18-inch rear, this Rally model takes things up a notch. It seamlessly blends the high-quality, race-bred components Ducati is known for with specialized solutions for off-road use. This makes it a dream for riders who thrive on challenging journeys and competitive rallies.

The dedicated livery, high front mudguard, and top-notch technical equipment tailored for off-roading, such as closed cartridge fork suspension and specific wheels, make it a sight to behold and a beast on trails. It features an adjustable Öhlins steering damper fixed directly to the handlebars. Its closed-cartridge KYB fork suspension is a testament to its off-road capabilities. Add to that the 280mm ground clearance and robust, lightweight aluminum plates, and you have a machine built to conquer any terrain.

To enhance durability and smoothness, the fork tubes of the DesertX Rally are equipped with Kashima Coating, while the sliders have DLC surface treatment. Kashima Coating aids fork lubrication and resists corrosion.

The DesertX Rally wheel travel has been increased by 20 mm, totaling 250 mm, over the DesertX. The rear features an aluminum swingarm with a different attachment point than the standard DesertX and a fully adjustable shock absorber with a larger piston to improve bike behavior in the most demanding off-road use. Rear wheel travel has also increased by 20 mm, totaling 240 mm. The new suspensions have increased the bike’s ground clearance by 30 mm to 280 mm.

Beyond aesthetics and suspension, the DesertX Rally houses the 937 cc Ducati Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder, providing a potent 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and 68-foot pounds of torque. Its six Riding Modes – Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro, Rally – come with recalibrated electronics tailored to its new chassis and enhanced off-road capabilities.

The customization options are plenty, from an additional 8-liter fuel tank to almost 120 liters of total load capacity with aluminum side cases. Plus, with the Termignoni homologated exhaust, racers can boost the bike’s power and torque by an impressive 7%.

With its January 2024 release on the horizon, the $22,995 Ducati DesertX Rally strives to be an elemental factor in a future where off-road riders no longer compromise performance, style, or functionality.
