Dorna Sports and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) have announced they will renew their partnership, securing the promotion rights for MotoGP and all Dorna-run FIM World Championships until 2060, securing the stability and growth for MotoGP across the world.
Dorna first acquired the FIM Grand Prix World Championship rights in 1992. This extension reflects the success of their longstanding partnership and a shared vision for the future of motorcycle racing. The renewal guarantees ongoing investment and development in the sport, promising to enhance the experience for fans and participants alike.
The partnership’s success exists because of mutual respect and collaboration among all stakeholders, including the teams’ association (IRTA) and the manufacturers association (MSMA). This consensus-driven approach has fostered a thriving ecosystem within MotoGP, contributing to its global expansion and increasing popularity. The agreement also extends to other FIM World Championships, including the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, the FIM Enel MotoE World Championship, the FIM JuniorGP World Championship, and the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship.
