The Scrambler 400 X shares its new single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine with the Speed 400, delivering impressive power and torque. With 40 PS (39.5 bhp) of peak power and 37.5 Nm of peak torque, this engine provides the Scrambler 400 X with the necessary performance to tackle both on and off-road challenges. Its responsive and characterful power delivery and the distinctive exhaust note add to the thrill of riding this versatile machine.

In terms of design, the Scrambler 400 X combines Triumph’s timeless classic silhouettes with purposeful and practical features. It features a longer wheelbase, longer travel suspension, and a larger 19-inch front wheel for enhanced stability and control when riding off-road. The Scrambler-specific ergonomics, including wide handlebars and a more upright riding position, offer a commanding and comfortable experience on and off the beaten path.

The Triumph Scrambler 400 X features several vital specifications and features that enhance its performance and versatility. It has big-piston 43mm diameter upside-down front forks and a mono-shock rear suspension unit with an external reservoir, providing excellent handling and stability on and off-road. The rear suspension preload is adjustable to optimize the bike for solo or passenger riding. The braking system includes a four-piston radial caliper with braided brake lines for precise and reliable stopping power.

The Scrambler 400 X utilizes ride-by-wire throttle technology with Bosch engine management for enhanced rideability, safety, and control. This system delivers a linear and intuitive throttle response, ensuring predictable power delivery. The bike also features switchable traction control and Bosch dual-channel ABS, allowing the rider to deactivate these systems for off-road riding.

The Scrambler 400 X has dual format instruments combining an analog speedometer with an integrated LCD screen. The screen displays helpful information such as a digital tachometer, fuel range, gear indicator, and even the status of accessory-fitted heated grips if installed. The bike is also equipped with all-LED lighting, including a distinctive always-on glow for the headlight and a modern light signature for the taillight.

The Scrambler 400 X also features a torque-assist clutch that reduces clutch lever effort and prevents rear wheel locking during downshifts. This system enhances rider comfort and confidence during stop/start riding. The bike also includes a conveniently located USB-C charging port for on-the-go charging of devices like smartphones and navigation systems.
