Pirelli will be the new official tire supplier for MotoGP starting in 2027. The Italian tire giant has entered a new five-year agreement to provide tires for MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 through the end of the 2031 racing season. The Pirelli MotoGP partnership aligns with MotoGP’s next generation of bikes and updated technical regulations debuting in 2027, promising fresh excitement and innovation in the premier class.
Pirelli MotoGP Partnership
Currently serving as the tire supplier for Moto2, Moto3, and several “Road to MotoGP” categories, the Pirelli MotoGP deal now encompasses the height of motorcycle racing and aligns Pirelli with MotoE.
By unifying all three major classes—MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3—under a single tire supplier, the sport creates a consistent development pathway, allowing rising stars to adapt seamlessly to the highest level of competition. Details on the specific tire allocations, types, and technical specifications are still forthcoming; however, the Pirelli MotoGP partnership promises innovative solutions that cater directly to the evolving demands of MotoGP racing.
Michelin, the current exclusive tire supplier for MotoGP and MotoE, will continue providing technology, support, and tire products through the end of 2026.
With a storied reputation built in other top-tier motorsport arenas, including Formula 1 and World Superbike, Pirelli will add to their motorsports legacy when their tires hit the grid in 2027.
