The 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is a standout in the world of lightweight adventure motorcycles, blending comfort, efficiency, and off-road capability. The upright riding position is a key factor in what the versatile 385.9-pound (wet weight) Versys-X 300 brings to the road for comfortable short or long runs. You’ll appreciate the enhanced visibility and control, making it easy to maneuver through traffic or tackle rugged terrains.
Under the 4.5 gallon tank is its 296 cc, 4 valve, 4 stroke parallel twin-cylinder engine. This engine is tuned to deliver solid low to mid-range torque, and a maximum output of 19.2 foot pounds at 10,000 rpm. The performance benefits from the Kawasaki Air Management System (KAMS), which directs hot air away from you. The optimized airbox shape, lightweight pistons, and lower compression ratio (10.6 to 1) contribute to the responsive engine. Oil jets for cooling and short piston pins sweeten performance across all RPMs.
Kawasaki has integrated a six-speed transmission into the Versys-X 300, featuring a roller-type shift drum and positive neutral finder. The assist and slipper clutch is a nice added touch.
The chassis of the Versys-X 300 features a rigid tubular, diamond frame designed to handle rough paved roads, utilizing lightweight materials to enhance front-end feedback. The long-stroke suspension includes a 41mm long-travel front fork and a bottom-link Uni-Trak rear suspension.
The spoked wheels, with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, are fitted with multi-purpose rubber. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) controlled by the Bosch 9.1M unit harmonizes with the front and rear single-disc brake setup. A front 290 mm petal disc is joined by a 220 mm rear petal disc, both gripped by a 2-piston caliper.
The bike’s Digital Fuel Injection (DFI) is another highlight, providing easy starting and smooth idling while optimizing performance and fuel efficiency. The dual throttle valves enable seamless throttle response, making for an intuitive ride. Meanwhile, the tuned exhaust system is designed to enhance the low and mid-range power essential for adventure riding, paired with large-diameter header pipes that amplify top-end power.
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 looks rugged enough with its rally bike aesthetics and large windscreen. The upper cowl and air ducts work together to dissipate heat while improving the bike’s aggressive roadway charm.
Comfort is part of the program with components such as wide handlebars, a larger seat that is slim where it needs to be for you to be able to touch the ground when stopped, rubber cushioned footpegs, and more. Note that the rubber at the pegs is removable to increase boot-to-peg engagement when required. Also, note the seat of 32.1 inches.
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 is presented in Candy Lime Green/Metallic Flat Spark Black with an MSRP of $6,199.00.
