The Kazakhstan GP is canceled for the 2024 season. The FIM, IRTA, and Dorna Sports have announced the cancellation due to operational and logistical issues arising from earlier flooding across the region. This unfortunate development means that the world’s most thrilling sport will not stop in Kazakhstan this year.

However, there is a silver lining to this announcement. The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli has stepped up to host the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix from September 20th to 22nd.

The decision to host the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Misano presents an exciting prospect for both fans and riders. The passionate Italian fanbase will now have a second chance to experience the thrill of MotoGP at the iconic Adriatic venue. Given the overwhelming attendance at the Italian GP earlier this season, it is no surprise that tickets for the upcoming San Marino GP at Misano will sell out quickly.

The news of the canceled Kazakhstan GP may disappoint some, the swift decision to relocate the event to Misano demonstrates a commitment to the age-old adage: “The show must go on!”
