Joan Mir, HRC Extend Contract

Honda Racing Corporation extends its contract with Joan Mir by two years, securing the 2020 Champion’s seat through to 2026.

Joan Mir has recently inked a two-year contract extension with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). Mir debuted in 2016, competing in the Moto3 class before securing his first World Championship title in 2017. He moved up to the premier class in 2019 before winning the championship title in 2020.

Since 2023, Mir has been an integral part of the Repsol Honda Team, earning 12 Grand Prix victories and 33 podium finishes. Looking ahead to the 2025 season, Mir will continue to be a formidable presence on the track alongside Luca Marini, with Stefan Bradl and Aleix Espargaro joining as test riders to bolster machine development.
