The popular GSX250R ABS makes a return to the Suzuki 2023 lineup with engine refinements.
The 2023 Suzuki GSX250R ABS was designed with new riders in mind, but with performance and capabilities that a seasoned rider would enjoy. The 2023 model is equipped with a 248cc parallel-twin engine that has been refined to optimize low and mid-range torque. Its roller-type rocker arms for valve actuation reduce mechanical losses and screw and nut valve lash adjusters make upkeep easy. The slim stem profiles near the head of intake valves further optimize airflow into combustion chambers for improved power delivery.
To minimize friction, the engine operates with low-tension piston rings and a honing pattern on the cylinder wall to increase oil retention. Coupling-type balancer shafts fitted to the engine’s crankshaft further reduce vibration while its unique oil pump design delivers exceptional lubrication while minimizing frictional loss. The drivetrain is composed of a wet, multi-plate clutch and 6-speed constant mesh transmission. This is then coupled to the 116-link O-ring DID 520VF or RK 520KRO chain drive system.
At the dash, the 2023 GSX250R ABS is equipped with a multifunction reverse-lit LCD instrumentation panel that provides essential information. At the top of the display, there’s a bar-graph tachometer, and in its center is the digital speedometer along with a convenient clock and gear position indicator. Other data displayed include an odometer, dual trip meters, fuel level readouts as well as service reminders. Suzuki has also included a programmable shift light plus LED alert indicators for turn signals, and engine functions.
The 2023 Suzuki GSX250R ABS will be available in Metallic Diamond Red / Pearl Nebular Black with an MSRP of $4,999.00.
