A Legacy Honored at Barber
When the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum announced that Eraldo Ferracci would serve as Grand Marshall for the 20th Annual Barber Vintage Festival, it was more than a ceremonial gesture—it was a long-overdue tribute to a man whose name is etched into the DNA of modern motorcycling. In addition to being selected to the 2025 AMA Hall of Fame class of nominees, The designation of Eraldo Ferracci as Grand Marshall at this milestone event celebrates not only a lifetime of innovation but also a transatlantic journey that reshaped American racing culture.
Hailing from Terni, Italy, Ferracci’s path began at a local dealership before crewing for Gilera’s Libero Liberati. By 1963, Ferracci had claimed the 125cc Italian national championship aboard a factory Motobi. The true spark happened when he relocated to Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, where he founded Fast by Ferracci in 1980.

Ferracci built championship racing motorcycles that were ridden by the likes of Doug Polen, and Freddie Spencer, to name only a few. In 2024, Ducati North America recently trimmed Josh Herrin’s Panigale V4 R in throwback Fast by Ferracci livery after clinching the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. The Barber Museum houses the Fast by Ferracci Ducati 888 Corsa raced by Stephen Mathews to multiple AHRMA championships in the early ’90s.

Eraldo Ferracci, Grand Marshall: Centerpiece of the 20th Barber Vintage Festival
Eradlo Ferracci as the Grand Marshall is only part of the 20th Barber Vintage Festival, scheduled for October 3rd through 5th at Barber Motorsports Park. As one of the largest vintage motorcycle events in the world, the festival is a fitting stage to honor Ferracci’s contributions, with over 500 vendors, AHRMA vintage racing, and displays of rare motorcycles.
Festivalgoers will enjoy immersive experiences such as BMW Motorrad Days Americas, the Isle of Triumph showcase, stunt shows, and the Wall of Death. The family-friendly format remains, with free admission for kids under 15 accompanied by a ticketed adult, making it one of the most inclusive and enriching events on the motorcycling calendar.
