Yamaha MT-03

The 2020 Yamaha MT-03 is an all new 321cc, parallel-twin engine powered Hyper Naked machine.

Styled after Yamaha’s MT-09 and MT-07, the new Yamaha MT-03 continues the manufacturer’s foray into the Masters of Torque lineage. Considered an entry-level machine, the MT-03 is a new face in the 300cc class.

With lines and profile similar to its older siblings, the MT-03 looks the part with dramatic Hyper Naked presentation. At the front end, the MT-03 greets with you with an aggressive skull like fairing work that screams intensity. It has a menacing presence, not in spite of its small capacity… but because of it. Small capacity bikes often get a bad rap because of their aesthetics. With its “mass forward” body, wide-shouldered fuel tank, 37mm upside-down forks, lower cowl, air intakes, and sexy tail section, the MT-03 looks every bit as grown as the MT-07 and MT-09.

The MT-03 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 321cc engine in a twin DiASil cylinder configuration. The DiASil cylinders are solely aluminum, offering weight saving properties. Along with heat resistant forged pistons, the aluminum cylinders keep things cool, minimizing the loss of horsepower when you need it most.

Equipped with 37mm KYB upside-down front forks, the MT-03 is ready to deliver progressive handling and enhanced performance. The rear monocross shock features seven-step preload adjustability. Most notable on the MT-03 is the 22.6-inch long asymmetrical swingarm. The pivot points on the swing arm are close the middle of the bike, maintaining the balance between the bike and the road beneath it. The result is a proper dose of handling performance while you are in the middle of the business.

The MT-03 is spotlighted, literally by a set of LED dual headlights, and LED sophisticated front and rear turn indicators. The multi-function data cluster has a negative LCD layout with all of the information displayed in white on a black background.

The all-new Yamaha 2020 MT-03 will be available in Ice Fluo and Midnight Black. With an MSRP of $4,599, the MT-03 is expected to hit the dealership floor in early 2020.
