Superveloce 1000 Ago Elevates the Legacy of a Racing Icon

The Superveloce 1000 Ago is a celebration of legacy, design, and performance. Crafted as a tribute to the legend that is Giacomo Agostini, this limited-edition machine from MV Agusta arrives in 2025 as part of the brand’s 80th anniversary. Only 83 units will be produced globally, honoring Agostini’s 83rd birthday. Each one is handcrafted, individually numbered, and signed by Ago himself, featuring a one-of-a-kind detail made from an original trophy he won during his record-breaking career.

Superveloce 1000 Ago Combines Style and Substance

Clad in full carbon fiber bodywork finished in Fire Red Matt and Magnum Silver Matt, the Superveloce 1000 Ago stimulates the same visual intensity that defined Agostini’s championship machines. A golden plaque inscribed with “15 Titoli Mondiali” (15 World Titles) on the leather tank strap, a yellow number plate, and spoked silver wheels brings racing history into the present with refined elegance.

Every detail, from the Alcantara seat embroidered with Agostini’s name to the CNC-machined headlamp crown, speaks of obsessive craftsmanship. The key alone is a talking point—its red anodized billet aluminum housing holds a brass coin crafted from one of Ago’s actual trophies.

Underneath its vintage-inspired skin, the Superveloce 1000 Ago is every bit a modern hypersport machine. The 998cc inline-four engine pushes out a staggering 208 hp at 13,000 RPM and 116.5 Nm of torque. Featuring radial titanium valves, forged titanium rods, and DLC-coated cams, the powerplant screams to 14,000 RPM with remarkable smoothness thanks to its counter-rotating crankshaft.

Electronically, the Superveloce 1000 Ago is equipped with MVICS 2.1 engine management, 8 injectors, four riding modes (Rain, Sport, Race, Custom), 8-level traction control, front lift control, launch control, and the latest EAS 4.0 quick shifter system. Add to this corner-sensitive ABS with race tuning, ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, and full GPS integration via the MV Ride app, and you have one of the most advanced electronics suites on any motorcycle today.

Superveloce 1000 Ago Features Track-Ready Components & Rider Package

Supporting the immense power is a race-ready chassis built around a high-strength steel trellis frame mated to aluminum side plates and a single-sided swingarm. Suspension duties are handled by electronically adjustable Öhlins components, including 43mm TiN-coated front forks, a rear mono-shock, and a digital steering damper. Brembo Stylema calipers clamp down on dual 320mm discs up front, offering powerful, fade-free braking to match the machine’s high-speed capability.

Adding to the package is a dedicated racing kit for owners, including a certificate of authenticity, Alcantara passenger seat, CNC-machined levers, and carbon heel guards. The bike even comes with a 5-year factory warranty.

MV Agusta has partnered with Dainese and AGV to offer each customer a custom-fitted racing suit and helmet. The Dainese Demone GP 3X suit is constructed from kangaroo leather, featuring the latest D-air tech and titanium sliders. The matching AGV Pista GP RR helmet is FIM-homologated, designed in a modern take on Agostini’s tricolore livery with exposed carbon details.

The Superveloce 1000 Ago is a rolling work of art and a tribute to one of racing’s greatest legends. With only 83 examples to be made and each infused with Agostini’s history and personal touch, this is a rider’s dream realized in carbon, titanium, and fire-red passion.
