Yamaha and Michael Van der Mark are not renewing their four-year contract that began in 2017. The 27-year-old Dutchman is looking for a new challenge in 2021, after an impressive run with the Pata Yamaha WorldSBK Official Team. During his tenure, Van der Mark has earned three WorldSBK race wins plus numerous podium finishes in addition to a pair of wins at the Suzuka 8 Hour race.
Van der Mark and the Pata Yamaha WorldSBK Official Team return to race action in July with the WorldSBK season set to resume with back-to-back races in Jerez and Portimao.
