JD Stunts, born Johnny Davies, set a new world record according to Guinness World Records during the Ultimate Supercar Show at Elvington Airfield in the United Kingdom. The feat? The “fastest speed dragged behind a motorcycle” with an official speed of 159.522 mph.
The 32-year-old JD Stunts wore titanium boot attachments, similar to Hot Shoes worn by Flat Track racers, as he sped his 2024 R&G Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX down the runway before strategically leaping backward and catching the bike by the tail, then dragging himself behind the bike while operated a secondary thumb throttle to achieve the required mph.
The previous record holder was Gary Rothwell from Liverpool, England. Rothwell achieved 156.3 mph at the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in England on April 18, 1999. JD Stunts set the new world record for the fastest speed dragged behind a motorcycle at 159.522 mph, twenty-five years to the day.
