Bridgestone Team BATTLAX gears up for the Daytona 200 with Canadian Superbike pros Ben Young and Trevor Daley.

Bridgestone Americas is all set to make a grand entry into the renowned Daytona 200 with its newly formed Bridgestone Team BATTLAX. The team comprises Canadian Superbike luminaries Ben Young and Trevor Daley and promises a thrilling effort at the Daytona International Speedway from March 7-9, 2024.

Ben Young is a three-time Canadian Superbike champion, while Trevor Daley is a celebrated Suzuki Canada rider with notable experience in prototype racing at the Daytona 24-hour event. Young’s impressive track record and Daley’s expertise set a high benchmark for Team BATTLAX.

Bridgestone has stated that their entry into the 82nd Daytona 200 is a testament to their commitment to racing excellence. Jim Dowell, Bridgestone’s Motorsports and Sales Manager, expressed excitement at having these top-tier riders represent Bridgestone in such a prestigious event.

Ben Young’s journey with Bridgestone began at the 2023 Daytona 200, where he showcased remarkable resilience and skill despite equipment challenges. The team is poised for a strong showing, with this being his fourth Daytona 200 and Daley’s debut. Their recent completion of the inaugural Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship Series, where Bridgestone debuted as the exclusive tire supplier, sets a solid foundation for their upcoming challenge.

Team BATTLAX’s preparation is meticulous, with both riders becoming intimately familiar with the team’s weapon of choice, the Suzuki GSX-R750. Daley is confident and anticipates utilizing their combined experience and the bike’s capabilities to secure a leading position. At the same time, Young aims to leverage his prior Daytona experiences to vie for the top spot.
