Expanded Global Racing and Early-Season Fireworks

The 2026 WorldSBK calendar brings 2 rounds of globe trotting superbike action. With fresh dates for some of the series’ most iconic venues and strategic shifts to maximize racing drama, next year’s schedule stages a championship battle from the first grip up.

The season begins February 20 through 22 at the legendary Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Australia. The island’s unpredictable weather and fast layout will set the tone for an electrifying opener, preceded by the official test on February 16 and 17. A month later, the paddock heads to Portimao’s rollercoaster circuit in Portugal from March 27 through 29. This round debuts the new WorldSPB class alongside WorldSBK and WorldSSP.

Assen, the Cathedral of Speed, retains its April 17 through 19 slot before the championship makes its second-ever visit to Balaton Park in Hungary on May 1 through 3, an earlier date compared to its 2025 debut. Two weeks later, the Autodrom Most in Czechia hosts Round 5 from May 15 through 17, keeping its mid-spring tradition alive.

Another major shuffle sees MotorLand Aragon, historically a late-season decider, move to May 29 through 31, transforming it into a pivotal mid-season round. The intensity builds heading into summer with the sun-soaked Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” (June 12 through 14) and the fan-favorite Donington Park in the UK (July 10 through 12), taking the championship into its mid-year break.

2026 WorldSBK Calendar: Historic Returns and a Jerez Finale

The autumn stretch of the 2026 WorldSBK calendar packs an unrelenting sprint to the finish. Magny-Cours in France kicks off the late-season charge on September 4 through 6, with its notoriously unpredictable conditions keeping riders on edge. Two weeks later, WorldSBK returns to Italy for Round 10 at the Cremona Circuit (September 25 through 27), which has been moved later in the year to optimize track performance and weather conditions.

The championship then shifts back to Portugal for the penultimate battle at Circuito Estoril on October 9 through 11, before heading to Spain for the grand finale at Circuit de Jerez – Angel Nieto on October 16 through 18 (subject to contract). Jerez has long been a proving ground for legends, and the 2026 showdown promises a high-stakes finish worthy of WorldSBK’s reputation as the pinnacle of production-based racing.

With date changes designed to optimize weather conditions, fan turnout, and competitive balance, the 2026 WorldSBK calendar is geared to bring the excitement back to the paddock.
