The 2025 Triumph Trident 660 is powered by a 660cc liquid-cooled, inline three-cylinder engine that delivers 80 horsepower at 10,250 rpm and 47.2 lb-ft of torque at 6,250 rpm. The engine combines the low-end torque and midrange pull of a twin-cylinder with the top-end performance of a four-cylinder. More than 90% of peak torque is available from 3,600 rpm to 9,750 rpm. The six-speed gearbox and the new Triumph Shift Assist make gear transitions smooth. The slip and assist clutch reduces lever effort and prevents rear-wheel lock-up during aggressive downshifts.
Optimized Cornering ABS and Traction Control are standard on the new Trident. Utilizing a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), the system continuously monitors lean angle, brake pressure, and throttle position to seamlessly adjust engine and braking parameters.
The Trident 660 now features Triumph Shift Assist, allowing for clutchless up and down gear changes. Cruise Control is also standard. The full-color TFT display integrated into the instrument cluster provides vital information. With Bluetooth connectivity through the MyTriumph system, you can access turn-by-turn navigation, control calls, and music, and select from three riding modes (Road, Rain, and Sport).
Triumph has fitted the 2025 Triumph Trident 660 with Showa’s 41mm upside-down Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) forks for improved damping for enhanced comfort and control. The rear features a Showa mono-shock with preload adjustment.
Weighing in at 418.9 pounds (wet weight) with a narrow profile, the Trident 660 offers an accessible seat height of 31.69 inches. This design ensures confident footing for a wide range of riders and contributes to its neutral and easy handling attributes. The bike is equipped with Nissin brakes, featuring twin 310mm front discs and a single 255mm rear disc, all governed by the Optimized Cornering ABS.
The 2025 Triumph Trident 660 is presented in four color schemes: Cosmic Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Diablo Red, and Jet Black with an MSRP of $8,595. Expect the new Trident 660 to arrive in dealerships beginning in November 2024.
