The 2024 KTM 450 SMR features new bodywork and new colors using in-mold technology.
The KTM 450 SMR has a 450 cc SOHC engine that delivers outstanding acceleration, and its long service intervals make the 2024 model a reliable option for riders. Moreover, with a weight of fewer than 59.9 pounds, the engine is a marvel of power-to-weight engineering.
The KTM 450 SMR’s chassis is a masterpiece, constructed from hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robot-welded frames that offer premium handling. The suspension system is equally impressive, with 48 mm WP XACT split front forks incorporating AER technology and a WP XACT rear shock that can be easily configured without needing tools.
The 2024 model is an absolute beauty, not that the prior model wasn’t, with a revamped bodywork design in an orange, black, white, and purple race trim livery crafted through innovative in-mold technology.
Features include an electric start, toolless air filter replacement, a performance-designed airbox, and a high-grip seat. The KTM 450 SMR also comes with heavy-duty Brembo brakes with a 4-piston radially mounted caliper and 310 mm front and 220 mm rear discs.
The Metzeler Racetec SM K1 Supermoto tires, mounted on durable yet lightweight ALPINA alloy rims with CNC machined hubs, have a high-performance level and heat up quickly.
There are two engine maps, launch control, traction control, Roll Over Sensor (ROS), and a quick shifter, making it a weapon on the track. In a crash, the ROS system detects the bike’s position and automatically shuts off the engine.
The 2024 KTM 450 SMR will hit the dealership showrooms in May 2023.
