Yamaha revamps the Yamaha R125, its highest specification 2023 supersport lightweight for the European market.
The 2023 Yamaha R125 has undergone a complete overhaul, featuring a dynamic new body design, bi-functional compact LED headlight, R7-inspired LED position lights, and an R1-inspired 5-inch dual-theme TFT instrument panel with programmable shift light and rpm range.
The new Yamaha R125 also boasts smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and a traction control system for added safety. Additionally, the R125 features an R1-inspired upper triple clamp and handlebar switches, as well as pre-wiring for a quick shifter.
Despite its sporty appearance, the 2023 Yamaha R125 offers a comfortable and commanding riding position thanks to the Deltabox frame that has been optimized for improved geometry, while the 2-piece rider/passenger seat measures a height of 32.5 inches. To top it off, the R125 also has a generous 11-liter fuel tank and 2-channel ABS.
There’s plenty of performance thanks to the torque rich 125cc EURO5 4-stroke engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) and A&S clutch. The KYB 41mm upside-down front forks further enhance the bike’s handling capabilities.
Braking power comes from a 292mm floating front disc and 220mm rear disc, with a radial mount front brake caliper for improved responsiveness.
Overall the 2023 Yamaha R125 offers a combination of advanced technology, impressive performance capabilities, and stylish design making it a truly formidable option in the entry level sportbike market.
The Yamaha R125 will be available in Europe in February of 2023 in two color options: Icon Blue and Tech Black.
