Kawasaki continues to satisfy the wants of the cafe class with the new 2019 W800 Cafe, a bike that pays homage to yesterday while forging ahead with modern motorcycle technology. Featuring a front cowl that shouts “old school,” the W800 stylings takes its cues from yesterday year with 18-inch spoked wheels, M-shaped club styled handlebars, rubber front fork covers and a selection of other classically inspired details.
Enhancing the visual appeal of the W800 is its 773cc air cooled, 4-valve, 4 stroke, vertical twin engine. Kawasaki equipped the W800 with an assist/slipper clutch for shifting through the gearbox with a five-way adjustable clutch lever. The braking system features a 2 piston caliper, single 320mm disc setup on the front and a single 270mm disc in the rear. The front brake is operated via a four-way adjustable lever for the rider’s adjustment.
The dash of the W800 has a traditional 2 component setup with the speedometer on the left and the tachometer on the right. The large 170mm LED headlight features four low beam chambers and two high beam chambers, and a convex lens with a chromed headlamp ring.
The 2019 Kawasaki W800 Cafe is available in Metallic Magnesium Gray and Galaxy Silver colorway and has an MSRP of $9,799.
