Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled its first offering in the motocross world – the TF 250-X. Slated to redefine the ultra-competitive 250cc class, the TF 250-X stands out with its class-leading power-to-weight ratio and a specification package that sets new benchmarks in the market. With an expected market launch in the beginning of 2024, the Triumph TF 250-X is poised to become a motocross icon.
Developed entirely in-house by Triumph, in close collaboration with motocross legends like Ricky Carmichael and Iván Cervantes, the TF 250-X represents a ground-up design. It’s a culmination of high-end engineering, sporting an all-new performance racing powertrain and a unique aluminum chassis. The bike’s style is focused and aggressive, marked by its slim profile, lightweight presence, and a striking Triumph Racing Yellow and black livery.

Triumph’s new motocross marvel is a powered by single cylinder 4-stroke DOHC 249.95 cc engine with a 78 mm bore, 52.3 mm stroke and 14.4 compression ratio. A Dell’Orto EFI systen habdlkes fuel management. The 5 speed gear box has a final drive of 13/48 with a wet multi-plate Belleville spring clutch. The engine is complemented by advanced engine management and tunability, as well as the optional MX Tune Pro app, which allows for real-time mapping and diagnostics.
The Triumph TF 250-X is host to a bevy of impressive features. These include an all-new performance racing powertrain, equipped with a forged aluminum piston, titanium valves, diamond-like carbon low friction coatings, lightweight magnesium covers, and an Exedy Belleville clutch.






The unique aluminum chassis of the TF 250-X features a high-strength, lightweight spine frame with twin cradles, designed for optimal balance and flexibility. Additionally, the TF 250-X boasts KYB suspension, a premium Brembo braking system, DirtStar 7000 Series aluminum rims, Pirelli Scorpion MX32 mid-soft tires, Pro-Taper ACF carbon core bars, and ODI half-waffle lock-on grips. This racing machine also features an array of competition accessories from premium brands like Akrapovič, XTrig, and Athena.
With a width of 836mm and a height without mirror of 1270mm, it’s a sleek and stylish weapon. The seat height of 960mm provides a comfortable riding experience, while the wheelbase of 1492mm and a rake of 27.4º offer great stability. Additionally, its tank capacity is 7 liters.
With a starting price of £9,795 ($12,427 USD), the TF 250-X represents the pinnacle of Triumph’s engineering prowess, combining exceptional performance with unparalleled craftsmanship as they boldly venture into the motocross class.
