MV Agusta has officially regained full ownership of the MV Agusta Group, as Art of Mobility S.A., a company controlled by the Sardarov family, takes back complete control. This move marks the Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s full separation from KTM and ensures that the brand remains unaffected by KTM’s ongoing financial restructuring process. The decision reinforces the brand’s stability and commitment to growth, allowing the brand to continue its upward trajectory without external disruptions.
The past 18 months have been transformative with a revitalized management team leading the company to unprecedented success. In 2024 alone, MV Agusta sold 4,000 motorcycles, marking a staggering 116% growth rate compared to the previous year. By July, the brand had already matched its total sales for 2023, showcasing remarkable market demand. Additionally, 2024 set a new benchmark for MV Agusta’s parts sales, achieving a 99% availability rate for models produced up to seven years ago. This operational efficiency has cemented MV Agusta’s reputation for both performance and reliability.
One of the key objectives behind this strategic shift is to protect the extensive dealer and supplier network from any potential financial instability linked to KTM’s restructuring. With 219 active sales points, including 41 dedicated service centers, operations remain uninterrupted. The company aims to expand its network to 270 sales points by the end of the year, further strengthening its global presence. Additionally, MV Agusta maintains partnerships with 20 non-European importers, ensuring that its reach continues to grow in international markets.
MV Agusta remains fully independent, with its Varese headquarters continuing to serve as the epicenter for all product development, production, sales, marketing, and after-sales services. The company is actively developing its next generation of motorcycles, focusing on innovation, exclusivity, and the brand’s signature “Motorcycle Art” philosophy. By maintaining control over its core operations, MV Agusta is positioned to deliver groundbreaking models that uphold its legacy of craftsmanship and performance.
Timur Sardarov, CEO of Art of Mobility S.A., expressed his pride in this milestone, emphasizing that regaining full control makes MV Agusta stronger and more focused than ever. He highlighted the company’s significant improvements in processes, systems, and workforce over the past two years, which have laid the foundation for its current success. Sardarov reaffirmed his commitment, along with that of his family, to driving MV Agusta’s future growth, supporting the Varese team, and strengthening the company’s relationship with dealers and business partners.
