What was staged as the newest region to host a MotoGP event, the Kazakhstan GP, has been canceled for the 2023 season.

The 2023 Kazakhstan GP has been canceled due to ongoing homologation works at the circuit and global operational challenges. There will not be a replacement event in 2023. However, MotoGP is excited to visit Sokol International Racetrack in 2024 and introduce a new region to the calendar.

Originally scheduled for July, Kazakhstan was to be the 30th country to host a MotoGP event since 1949, with the Sokol International Racetrack being the 74th circuit to host a premier class race.

We’ll see you next year… Hopefully.
