The next step in the evolution of the Ducati XDiavel has arrived: the Ducati XDiavel V4. Ducati’s latest creation takes the sport cruiser segment to unprecedented levels with its MotoGP-derived V4 Granturismo engine, stunning design, and evolved technology.
Available in two exclusive colors—Burning Red ($28,995) and Black Lava ($29,295)—the XDiavel V4 is as visually striking as it is mechanically advanced, with sleek metallic finishes
Under the 5.3-gallon fuel tank of the XDiavel V4 is the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine. Generating 168 horsepower and 126 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, this engine delivers aggressive acceleration and premium performance. What makes the V4 Granturismo special is its counter-rotating crankshaft, a technology borrowed from Ducati’s MotoGP bikes, which reduces the gyroscopic effect and improves handling. The result is a bike that feels agile and responsive in the streets or the canyons. The V4 engine is known for its efficiency and reliability, with valve clearance checks required only every 60,000 km.
At the 6-speed gearbox, equipped with the Ducati Quick Shift (up and down) 2.0, the XDiavel V4 steps away from the belt drive of the prior models. On this bike, you’ll find a chain with a 16-tooth front and 43-tooth rear sprocket configuration.
The XDiavel V4’s quad titanium end-capped exhaust system gives the bike an aggressive growl in harmony with the engine’s Twin Pulse firing order, regardless if you are set in two-cylinder or four-cylinder modes.
Weighing in at 505 pounds, the XDiavel V4 is 13 pounds lighter than its former self, the XDiavel 1260 S. This weight reduction, combined with its fully adjustable 50 mm front forks, adjustable mono-shock suspension, and aluminum single-sided swing arm, results in impressive handling.
Brembo components handle braking. A set of 330 mm semi-floating front rotors is gripped by Brembo Stylema monobloc 4-piston calipers, managed by a radial master cylinder. At the rear, a single 365 mm rotor is gripped by a 2-piston floating caliper. Pirelli’s Diablo Rosso III maintains its tire duties. 120 at the front and a sizeable 240 at the rear.
The Ducati XDiavel V4 has three Power Modes and four Riding Modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet), allowing you to tailor the power delivery and traction control. You’ll also note the six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) provides advanced cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and launch control.
The 6.9-inch TFT dashboard with an 8:3 aspect ratio is the same high-tech display found on the Panigale V4. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to pair a smartphone for calls, music, and turn-by-turn navigation via the Ducati Link App. The backlit handlebar controls provide easy access to all functions.
The seat height is a manageable 30.3 inches, with a more robust seat for both rider and passenger. Rear suspension travel has been increased by 25 mm, improving comfort for long hauls. There is a full catalog of Ducati Performance parts to enhance and customize your XDiavel V4.
Available in Ducati dealerships starting in May 2025, the XDiavel V4 advances sport cruiser engineering and ethos.
Perhaps the Gentleman Bastard has evolved into the Executive. Stay tuned for the upcoming First Ride Review.
