Royal Enfield announced they’ve brought in Dalton Gauthier as the replacement rider for the upcoming Orange County Half-Mile in Middletown, New York. This news comes as Johnny Lewis is still recovering from an injury he sustained at the Ventura Half-Mile. So, Gauthier will be stepping up to compete in the sixth Mission AFT SuperTwins event of the Progressive American Flat Track season on Saturday, June 15th, at the Orange County Speedway.
Hailing from Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, Dalton Gauthier, nicknamed Go-Time, has been a pro since 2015. He’s made a name for himself with an impressive performance at the 2016 Arizona Half-Mile and is currently tied for third all-time in singles wins.
Adrian Sellers, Head of Custom & Motorsport at Royal Enfield, gave his best wishes for Johnny’s speedy recovery and expressed excitement for Dalton Gauthier’s addition to the team. Johnny Lewis, the lead rider for the Mission AFT SuperTwins class, will be there to support the team at the Orange County Half-Mile.
Fun fact: Lewis is also the founder and owner of Moto Anatomy. He has played a crucial role in establishing Royal Enfield on the Progressive American Flat Track platform.
