D3O x Ty Scott: A Title Sponsor With a Daytona-Sized Target

The D3O x Ty Scott partnership is official. Suzuki Motor USA and Team Hammer have confirmed that D3O will serve as the title sponsor for Tyler Scott’s Daytona 200 program, backing his effort aboard the D3O M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R750 in the 84th running of the Daytona 200. For a race that’s equal parts sprint, chess match, and survival test, it’s hard to think of a more appropriate headline partner than a brand built around impact protection.

D3O is widely recognized as a top-tier leader in advanced protection solutions, best known for armor that’s thin, soft, and flexible at rest, then stiffens to absorb and dissipate energy on impact—making it easy to integrate into helmets, gloves, and other protective gear.

D3O x Ty Scott: Why This Daytona 200 Push Feels Different

If you’ve followed Tyler Scott’s Daytona storyline, you already know why this announcement matters. D3O x Ty Scott isn’t a “someday” partnership—it’s landing on a program that’s been knocking on the door. Scott has fought his way to a podium finish in the Daytona 200 after earning pole position in each of the last two seasons. Even more telling, he’s never qualified off the front row at Daytona. That’s not luck; that’s a rider and team repeatedly arriving with the pace required to control their own destiny.

And the résumé beyond Daytona backs it up. Scott has been a Supersport frontrunner since his rookie campaign, posting championship rankings of second, third, fourth, and fifth across his time in the category. The stated mission for 2026 is as straightforward as it is ambitious: finally stand atop the podium at the Daytona 200 and chase a MotoAmerica Supersport Championship. That’s the competitive frame for the D3O x Ty Scott team-up—a brand stepping into a moment where the next logical step is winning, not just participating.

Visually, the partnership will be impossible to miss. Scott’s GSX-R750 and his rigorously tested, D3O-integrated RST racing suit will be prominently adorned in D3O’s trademark orange at Daytona, marking a very deliberate “we’re here” moment as D3O continues expanding into motorsport. The company already supports IOM TT Champion Michael Dunlop MBE, World SuperSport pilot Tom Booth Amos, and British Superbike and road racing ace Lee Johnston. Becoming the title sponsor of a top Daytona 200 effort is a clear escalation—and the D3O x Ty Scott partnership is the sharpest expression of that step-up so far.

D3O x Ty Scott: The Protection Angle Meets the Performance Plan

For the riders, protection tech only matters if it disappears when you’re working. Scott’s comments underline that—confidence in the gear, and freedom to move when the pace gets violent. Scott said, “I think having D3O onboard is really cool. When I first tried out their equipment, I was impressed with how it fit and how it allowed me to move freely without distracting me. It was obviously very high quality. Having used D3O after that, it feels great when you are on the bike. Plus, it has kept me safe on the occasions I’ve found myself flying through the air.”

He also put the Daytona goal in plain language, and it’s the kind of clarity you want to hear from a rider who’s been close enough to taste it. Scott said, “We’re very excited for the Daytona 200. We’ve done well there but never got the win. We’ve set fast times, but the goal is to get to the front and stay consistent. Last year, I got caught up battling and lost touch with the leader. But if we can stay close and have a fast pace at the end, good things can happen.” Daytona rewards discipline. It punishes ego. Scott’s assessment reads like a rider who understands exactly where the last few percent live.

From D3O’s side, the significance is about growth and commitment—especially in North America. “Becoming Title Sponsor with Team Hammer at the Daytona 200 — one of the most iconic events in motorcycle racing — marks an important milestone in our brand growth in North America and reflects our continued investment in commercial partnerships, while ensuring riders compete in the very best protection available,” said D3O CMO Mostyn Thomas.

D3O will continue as a partner of M4 ECSTAR Suzuki for the remainder of the 2026 MotoAmerica season, with logos on the team’s bikes, suits, and helmets.

The 84th Daytona 200 takes place March 5–7 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. If Scott’s front-row history holds and the execution matches the intent, this could be the year that “fast” finally turns into “finished the job.”
