For riders who demand track-level performance on the street, Bridgestone has once again delivered. The all-new BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 debuts in January 2026, bringing with it race-proven technology and next-gen engineering for serious sportbike enthusiasts. Under the guiding concept of “From Circuit to Street,” Bridgestone has crafted a premium motorcycle tire that not only eclipses its predecessor—the RS11—but sets a new standard for dry grip performance in the road-legal BATTLAX lineup.
This is not just an incremental upgrade. The BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 represents a complete redesign. It incorporates the same performance DNA as Bridgestone’s top-tier racing slicks, with significant enhancements to compound chemistry, tread design, and structural composition. Available in one front size and three rear sizes—120/70ZR17M/C, 180/55ZR17M/C, 190/55ZR17M/C, and 200/55ZR17M/C—these tires are built to meet the needs of both street and track riders.

BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12: From the Paddock to Public Roads
The BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 tires feature a new compound developed directly from Bridgestone’s racing division. Designed to provide maximum dry grip, the compound maintains consistency and performance even after multiple hot laps. This tire keeps biting long after the first few corners, providing confidence lap after lap.
The newly engineered tread pattern plays a vital role in this performance leap. With an optimized groove ratio, the tire boasts a larger contact patch under lean, translating into superior grip during aggressive cornering. The tread design also contributes to enhanced rigidity, creating a more stable and predictable feel, especially when transitioning through high-speed chicanes or heavy braking zones.
Perhaps the most revolutionary update is found in the front tire construction. The HE-MS BELT structure, which has been properly battle-tested, now makes its first appearance in a commercial BATTLAX tire. This flexible belt distributes contact pressure evenly across the tire, improving feedback and boosting front-end confidence in every phase of the corner.

Compared to the RS11, the BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 can significantly reduce lap times thanks to this trifecta of compound, structure, and tread design.
The BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 launches January 2026 in North America, just in time for the spring riding season. Final pricing has yet to be announced, but given Bridgestone’s premium performance tier positioning, expect these tires to align with the upper echelon of sport and track tire pricing. What you’re getting, however, is the culmination of decades of racing development poured into a DOT-legal street tire.
While the outgoing RS11 was already a benchmark in its class, the RS12 takes everything further—deeper lean angles, better front-end feel, and longer-lasting performance under heat cycles. As more OEMs and trackday enthusiasts seek out rubber that can do it all, the BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12 makes a compelling case.
