The FIM and Dorna released a revised schedule that lists Circuito do Estoril, just outside of Lisbon, Portugal as the final race for the 2020 season. For the last few years, the season finale has been hosted by Misano. This calendar revision and finale replacement, this is the first time that Portugal will host two WorldSBK rounds in a single season, with the prior taking place at the beginning of August.
Estoril is not just a replacement, but also an additional round for 2020. The circuit’s inclusion in the 2020 season marks its return to the WorldSBK calendar since 1993. From 2000 through 2012, the circuit hosted the Portuguese rounds of MotoGP and in 2020, hosted the FIM CEV Repsol Junior World Championship.
Scheduled for the weekend of October 16 through 18 and will include the WorldSBK Championship, the FIM Supersport Championship and the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship.
